Timeless Tuesday - Healing
Posted by Linda McQuinn Carlblom
Everyone has to heal from something, whether physical or emotional. Often, physical healing of wounds is easier, more natural. The body does most of the work without us having to think about it. But emotional healing requires an act of our will. It's easier to hold grudges. We want justice. We like the scales to balance.
Emotional healing and forgiveness go hand-in-hand. If you want to move on and not let the damage control your life, you must forgive the one who hurt you. It has nothing to do with if they deserve it or if they are sorry for what they did. It certainly doesn't make what they did okay. It's all about you and your healing, getting on with your life in the most positive way.
Forgiving is an act of self-love. It's where our life's damage control happens.
Praying the healing begins in each of us today.
